snowball dom qns (how to keep hero still)
my question is as above
most of time my nec hero would be moving around and making it impossible to hold ice fort trying to do this farm with my warr who has little or no chance of getting a human nec player to party with thanks! |

hmm im not sure of your problem exactly... just move your necro into the middle next tot the rune trader i believe. Right there he should not move or have any problems losing ice fort. Although i personally suggest if you have 2 accounts and the other account has a necro run guild wars multi launch(not a bad 3rd party program you can find it on this site). Using GWML on 2 accounts farming the same thing in roughly a minute allows you to get 2x the reward at the same speed. Altho you do need to be able to multi task somewhat for this its in my opinion the most time/effecint way to farm this. (Over the last 3 days ive built up over 6 stacks of tonics)

hi there, thanks for the reply
the thing is i would like to max the vanguard title for my warr and i dont have a 2nd acc so i cant benefit from e dualfarm the problem im facing is that once i cast 'holiday blues' on my nec hero, he would move immediately after that thus cancelling out icefort |

Target a necro from the group (because an opposing necro using blues is your biggest threat) and once your hero is done using fort and blues order them to use snowball. They will always be interrupted but it will keep them still until fort wears off 90% of the time. When fort wears off make them use snowcone to help them survive a second or two longer. Then you can jump in and use fort once they die to catch the aggro.

You could also rush a Nightfall ranger to level 10 and get to EotN, where he can be used as a snowball farming bot.
Rangers have the most overpowered snowball skill for the dominance q. |

Don't put him on avoid combat that would most likely make him run away from the enemies. Set him to defence but also block out holiday blues, snowcone and ice fort to cast manually.

There are two flags that affect heroes: party and the individual hero flag. Snowball dominance only allows one hero, so if you flag your hero using the hero #1 flag, they will usually remain stationary if set to guard. The heroes move around in relation to your position when using the "ALL" flag.
Holiday Blues is not necessary to complete this quest; plenty of people did it last year before the skill was changed. |

I had this problem for a while, my fix was to use flag #1 only and set him on aggro.
Cast HB, Ice Fort, queue up a regular snowball then hit Snowcone as his HP dips. He'll try to cast the snowball at least once, but he might run around after but it still gives you a couple more seconds of groupage. |

I micro the hero pretty much until death. As long as you keep casting it should work. If s/he is positioned correctly, after HB and ice fort, you can get snow down the shirt on staci. Then you should still have time to hit with a snowball (and you should have pre-cast hidden rock, and yellow snow if it's on the bar that round). Then keep trying to throw snowballs until the hero's health drops. Then, right before you need to cast snowcone, see if you can get an avalanche (if it's on the bar) onto staci. If it gets interrupted or you get KD'd, you're ok because you can still use snowcone.
I've been dual-accounting it lately, but when I used a hero this method worked well. Wait for the ball, though...I generally don't start running in on the main until the hero is just about dead. |

Just disable "Snow Down the Shirt" on necro preventing them from rushing the enemy.

lols, my poor Olias
yes use #1 to flag him in middle of group, then when red hit holiday blues, ice fort, then i usually just hit MMM snowcone so he takes the aggro (and dies) while my group comes in |
